The AWS Cloud Engineer must have experience in virtualized environments: 

  • Must have significant in-depth understanding of and experience with the creation of and use of cloud-based resources; 
  • Must be able to identify various AWS Service offerings and distinguish the needs for the customer. 
  • Must have experience in high volume and high availability cloud based network interconnectivity like VPC, VPN and Gateway 
  • Must have experience in creating S3, EC2, Elastic Cache, ELB, IAM and RDS services 
  • Must understand role based access 
  • Must have experience in Agile concepts 
  • Must have extensive software and Hardware development experience and thorough knowledge of a variety of programming languages as well as development and deployment platforms. 
  • Experience with compute, storage, Database, Developer Tool, security, identity compliance, Management & Governance, network & Content Delivery, Analytic and application Integration

Required Skills
  • Utilized one or more cloud scripting languages i.e. JavaScript, PowerShell Knowledge of JSON, YAML and XML 
  • Intimate knowledge of system Administration of Windows and Linux servers 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Virtual Networking principles such as DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, CDN, Public and Private Subnets and VPN 
  • Worked with AW services such as Route 53, CloudFront 
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security foundations (i.e. securing AWS accounts, to data, to managing identity and access management (IAM) services as well as using security groups and access control list to secure networks 
  • Knowledge of using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to implement cloud formation CI/CD process 
  • Knowledge of and or worked with the following tools: 
o Terraform 
o Ansible  

Education and Certifications 
  • BS in Computer Science or related engineering degree 
  • AWS Certified Solutions Practitioner - Associate

This position is offering a salary range of $130,000 to $155,000 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
