A Technical Project Manager opportunity in Washington, DC, is currently available with Belcan.  To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree & a minimum of three years of experience. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and experience with presenting to leadership and be comfortable becoming a "trusted advisor" with leadership. "Soft Skills" are as important for success in this role as technical skills.
 
Data Analyst Duties:
*Responsible for overseeing the creation of data driven products, services, and managing client relationships and ensuring that all parties involved in a project are happy with its progress.  
*Research, Compile & Analyze data related to IT capital planning, IT portfolio investments, &  adherence to Federal IT regulations.
*Leverage skills in both R Programming Language & MS SQL, to satisfy statistical analysis & reporting data requests.
*Design reporting processes, systems, & procedures.
*Analyze work flow & create work simplification & measurement studies.
*Coordinate with the customer, leadership, & technical teams to modify existing reports & develop new reporting products.
*Communicate data results verbally & through analytics visualizations.
*Coordinate with stakeholders & team members to provide enhancements to current report, analysis, & dashboard formats &/or to develop new reporting products.
 
 
Qualifications:
Clearance:
*Must be able to Obtain & Maintain a Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
Education:  
*Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science or a similar field.  Demonstrated years of experience, may be considered in lieu of your degree.  
 
Required Skills:
*Minimum seven years of direct experience.
*Possess a familiarity in data analysis, understanding the limitations of data, & experience with understanding data structures.
*Proficient in the, 'R Programming Language,' for data manipulation, automated
  reports/dashboards.  
*Possess a working knowledge of MS SQL to pull & restructure data in R.
*Possess experience communicating data results verbally & experience developing dashboards, analytics visualizations, & reports.
*Utilize your excellent time management skills & possess the ability to meet deadlines.
*Proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
 
Desired Skills:
*Seven or more years demonstrated experience with data analytics using R & SQL.
*Capital Planning & Investment Control (CPIC) and/or Project Management experience
*Experience writing business requirements documents & mapping business processes.
*Experience developing IT-specific data analysis.
