Systems Administrator

Job Summary: The Systems Administrator will interact with other engineers on the Dev Tools and automation team, software developers, test engineers, release managers, and scrum master.  Must have working knowledge of CI/CD automation and be able to perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of network environment. 

Job Duties:

  • Manage DevOps tools including continues integration services/Continuous delivery services.
  • Perform Git repository maintenance. 
  • Perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of network environment.
  • Perform software installation and setup.
  • Proactively identify potential build/release pipeline bottlenecks and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Maintain an open dialog with team members on project.
  • Responsible for coordinating with IT for machine provisioning and related tooling.
  • Create documentation to capture the development process used to create automation.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess at minimum an Interim Secret clearance. 
  • Must be able to obtain an IAT-II certification within the first 90 days of hire.
  • BS or BA preferred but not required.
  • 3+ Years of hands-on experience with DevOps tools implementation and configuration. 
  • Experience and knowledge of containerization platforms such as Kubernetes, Git, Prometheus, and repository knowledge
  • Experience with build systems and release management tools (Git, Gitlab). 
  • Experience in architecture design patterns, immutable production, fail fast, stateless.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as BASH, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with applications used in a typical pipeline (Terraform, Ansible, Containers) and Kubernetes). 
  • Understanding of VM architectures, automation and container technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux based systems (Ubuntu)
  • Advanced experience maintains Git and Gitlab repositories.
  • Experience developing Automation and orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with database concepts and SQL. 
  • Proficient knowledge of AWS is preferred. 

 

Compensation:

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $100,000-$115,000 Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
