Job Summary: |
Global Field Service Engineers (GFSE) support SOF users of operational and intelligence platforms including Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS)-SOF Fusion Analysis and Development Effort/Multi-Intelligence Spatial-Temporal (FADE/MIST), EIA, Analyst Notebook, Esri, Palantir, AIDE/Ares, VJOC, TAK Enterprise, and other Advanced Analytic Software (AAS) and Mission Command System / Common Operational Picture (MCS/COP) applications as they are fielded, both in garrison and forward deployed. GFSEs provide user support and training for operational and intelligence applications, enhancements, data services, data integrations and migrations, testing, documentation, data management, and maintenance for software systems that are server, cloud and/or mobile based. |
Job Duties: |
- Desk side one-on-one and classroom field support for unit-specific requirements
- Advice and consultation on best approaches and methodologies to maximize capabilities of deployed systems
- Provide agnostic analysis concerning effective use of enterprise capabilities at-scale across all theaters of operation
- Field and refine customer feedback requests for feature/function enhancements
- Advise and assist with customized ontologies and other data modeling and system services
- Engineering support to improve functionality of C2 systems
- Integrate existing customer capabilities with approved Programs of Record including technical requirements, SOF enterprise architecture, and emerging government solutions
- Develop mission-specific customizations that enhance interoperability between enterprise platforms and emerging technologies, tools and data
- System administration support for forward laptops and mobile devices, i.e. TACLAN, TAK
- Ensure end user devices (laptops, servers, and mobile devices) are in compliance with Program Office battlefield configurations
- Manage data replication between HQ server/cloud and forward systems
- Travel to forward locations for onsite support and training
- Unit support during pre-deployment planning

Required Qualifications: |
A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; |
Preferred Qualifications & Skills: |
- Previous experience with operational communications systems to include Satellite communication nodes, radios, and encryption devices
- Previous experience in Operations Centers at multiple levels of command from O-3 up preferably as a JOC NCO or COP Manager
- Previous experience executing common intelligence workflows in support of combat operations
- Familiarity with DoD programs of record and their common organizational structures
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, application programming interfaces, and computer hardware
- Basic familiarity with network architecture
- Basic knowledge of various DoD and partner force network enclaves
- Passion and a proclivity to research and understand emerging technology of all disciplines as it pertains to use in the DoD
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $90,000-100,000 and has a $2,000 monthly COLA. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
