A Hardware Installation Tech I job in Rockville, MD is currently available through Belcan at one of our key government clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Associates degree (2 years' IT experience in leu of) degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience.
In this role you will be responsible for assisting customers that are experiencing IT related issues at the NRC headquarters located at 11545 Rockville Pike, Rockville Maryland 20852. This position is on site, and remote work is not an option. |
Job Duties: |
Belcan is seeking qualified, creative, and customer-focused Hardware Installation Tech I Technicians to support our NRC client under the GLINDA EUCS contract. The Hardware Installation Tech I Technician provides support for preparedness, deployment and maintaining organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. Each person shall provide technical support that includes but is not limited to installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via work order) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance to federal and contract employees in a Windows environment where required. We are seeking candidates that have strong communication skills, are customer service focused and who can work in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision. |
Required Qualifications: |
* Must be able to obtain and maintain an NRC Public Trust clearance with the client before work any work can be started. Clearance will be handled and issued by our NRC customer. Active clearance is a huge plus * Has 3+ years of Tier II or higher experience in a Windows environment troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively while minimizing the downtime to end users. * Must have experience providing Tier 2 support to issues escalated from Tier 1. * Proficient troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively while minimizing the downtime to end users. * Must have experience with Windows 11. * Must have experience with Microsoft CoPilot. * Must have experience with ServiceNow ITSM system. * Must have experience with MSOffice Suite of products to include Teams. * Able to professionally and effectively communicate with a dynamic customer base, in a high paced Headquarters environment. *. Supporting PC's/Desktop/Laptop users and resolving any issues with Microsoft, Adobe, Word, Office, PowerPoint, Chrome, IE or any other deployed software. * Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any hardware, software or other technical issues. * Resolving problems through customer education, training and direct assistance. * Providing phone and in-person support to users for various systems, including e-mail, user account administration, active directory, standard desktop images and applications * Serve as the point of contact for troubleshooting all IT related problems, including hardware/software, passwords, and printer problems. * Follows instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. * Works independently and under immediate supervision. * Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment and has a keen attention to detail. * Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills * Customer service oriented with a high ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment |

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $26.00-$26.50 Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
