Job Summary:

A Remote Market Research Analyst position is available for a highly motivated and versatile individual to drive data-driven strategies related to government contracting opportunities and enterprise business systems. This role blends market research, data science, and data analysis to provide comprehensive insights that inform critical business decisions. You will be responsible for identifying market trends, querying data and AI, and analyzing complex datasets, all while communicating findings through clear and compelling written reports and presentations. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related), and 1 to 3 years of combined experience in market research, data science, or data analysis. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, exceptional writing abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a remote environment.

Job Duties:

  • Integrated Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research on government RFPs, RFQs, and enterprise business system trends, and integrate these findings with advanced data analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Data-Driven Strategies: Ability to research and forecast government contract awards and enterprise system adoption, and translate these insights into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex data and market challenges, using a combination of analytical techniques and strategic thinking.
  • Written Communication: Produce detailed, well-structured reports and presentations that effectively communicate complex data and market insights to stakeholders.
  • Data Management: Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources, including government databases and enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Develop competitive intelligence reports, identifying key competitors and their strategies, and present these findings to senior management.
  • Remote Collaboration: Participate in virtual meetings and collaborate with team members to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Government Market Tracking: Monitor and track government spending and policy changes that impact relevant markets, using online resources and databases.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of combined experience in market research, data science, or data analysis, with a focus on government or technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel), and programming languages.
  • Experience with using AI.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes (e.g., FAR, DFARS) and government data sources (e.g., USAspending.gov).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.   
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with cloud based data platforms is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related).


 Compensation:

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $73,000,- $75,000 a year.  Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
