Senior Helpdesk Support Technician

Job Summary:
A Senior Help Desk Technician job in Washington, DC (20565) is currently available through Belcan at one of our key federal clients.  To be considered for this role, you will have strong technical and troubleshooting skills, as well as demonstrate strong customer service skills.
 
Job Duties:
* Field incoming service requests from end users via telephone, e-mail, and walk-ins 
* Analyze Self-Service tickets and assign to appropriate team members 
* Troubleshoot basic problems in the Microsoft Office Suite as well as other Gallery standard software 
* AD account management (configure new users, assign access permissions, unlock accounts, etc.) 
* Remote support for users on travel or working from home 
* Administration of hardware inventory within ServiceNow 
* Manage the Laptop Loaner service
*Update open tickets on a daily basis.
*Creating knowledge base articles for technical solutions.
*Configure hardware for deployment.
*Install approved request software to users.
 
Required Qualifications:
* Excellent customer service skills 
* Ability to troubleshoot software and basic hardware issues 
* Strong knowledge of Windows 7 and 10 
* Strong knowledge of Mac OSX 
* Strong knowledge of iOS 
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory 
* Knowledge of basic wireless client troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system

 Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $45,000 to $50,000 Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
