Job Summary: The Software Engineer is responsible for developing secure, well‑tested, and high‑performance features and enhancements for the product. This role includes designing and implementing unit tests across applicable components and applying GitFlow principles throughout feature development. The engineer will tackle technical challenges of significant scope and complexity while contributing to the long‑term objectives and strategic direction of the development team. Key responsibilities include triaging issues related to bugs, new features, and change requests; independently delivering smaller features with minimal guidance; and collaborating closely with the team on larger initiatives. The engineer will identify and address team‑wide inefficiencies and technical debt, propose and implement improvements, and help define and uphold internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices in a high‑scale web and service environment. These standards will be reinforced through active participation in code reviews. The role also involves advocating for improvements in product quality, security, and performance; providing technical support to team members; and mentoring junior and intermediate engineers to support their professional growth and technical development.

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position offers a salary range of $100,0000-$146,000.year. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
