Job Summary: The software tester will be responsible for working with software developers, subject matter experts (SME), and integration/test team members to create test plans/scenarios, execute testing, document findings, and troubleshoot issues with the CDPC application. |
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess at minimum an Interim Secret clearance.
- Must be able to obtain an IAT-II certification within the first 90 days of hire
- BS or BA preferred but not required
- 3+ years of experience in system administration or software development.
- Basic knowledge of VMWare systems and infrastructure Possess a basic understanding of Linux- and Windows-based systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, experience with detecting, tracking and reporting of software defects and inconsistencies.
- Experience with verifying and documenting bug fixes.
- Experience with implementing and executing manual or automated tests.
- Ability to effectively communicate application testing findings as both written logs and verbally to other team members.
- Experience using GitLab's built-in project management tools to create and manage bug reports.
- Ability to work directly with the development team and to focus on their critical tasks as needed.
- Understanding of VM architectures and container technologies.
- Knowledge of MS Active Directory, VMWare, and Ansible.
- Effective communication skills to be able to brief technical concepts to non-technical decision makers.
- Provide clear and consistent documentation regarding software testing findings. An interest in learning programming including languages such as Java, JavaScript and HTML, CSS.
- Experience with PowerShell. Experience with both Windows and Linux. Experience with using GitLab for CI and CD. Basic understanding of application development.
Compensation: We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $100,000-$108,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
