Summer Finance Intern
Belcan Government Solutions is currently looking for a Summer Finance Intern to support our Finance team. This position will report directly to the Finance Manager providing financial analysis and reporting to support multiple government contracts and internal projects.
Responsibilities:
- Review pricing and financial files to ensure accuracy and develop organization improvements
- Maintain finance/accounting issues list and coordinate resolution of priority issues
- Review contract modifications to ensure proper system setup
- Assist in month end close preparation and analysis
- Extract data from ERP (Unanet) to be used in PowerBI dashboards
- Consolidate Program Monthly Review PowerPoint slides and review for compliance
- Coordinate financial business rhythm meetings to include, but not limited to; program manager and vice president financial reviews, accounts receivable/unbilled review
- Prepare purchase requisitions for review by program analysts and managers
Required Skills:
- Actively pursuing Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting degree
- Experience with MS Office applications, specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Familiar with basic financial management, budget, and accounting principles
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally
