Job Summary:
A(n) Windows System Administrator job in Washington, DC is currently available through Belcan at one of our key Federal civilian clients.  To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's in Information Technology or relevant area and 8 years of relevant experience.
 

Additional info: Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows servers and workstations. Support all aspects of the FCC's IT infrastructure by delivering and maintaining a robust, flexible, secure, and efficient technology portfolio while tracking all efforts performed in the FCC's IT Service Management System.
 
 

Job Duties:
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding tasks
  • Set up, maintain, and modify user system access and permissions for all employees as needed
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance for workstation, server, and application patching
  • Upgrade, install, and configure application software for deployment to workstations
  • Provide support for major applications and software for licensing and tracking
  • Image physical workstations, laptops, tablets/mobile devices
  • Provide Operations on-site and remote support to all FCC facilities and field offices
  • Track all work in the FCC IT Service Management (ITSM) system
  • Provide escalated troubleshooting and support for workstation, laptop, tablet/mobile device, and/or VDI issues
  • Implement and manage user and network security policies and procedures
  • Ensure security compliance via access controls and backups
  • Maintain networks and network file systems
  • Facilitate implementation of new systems, tools, and features in production
  • Perform asset inventory assessments
 
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Must possess the ability to clear Public Trust
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, with 8 years of experience
  • Proficiency with Windows server and workstation operating systems
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and solutions, including Microsoft-365, Azure, and VMware
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN security and firewalls
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal English
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills
  • Excellent planning, time-management, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to develop effective solutions within constraints of deadlines and budgets
 
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • CompTIA Server+

 Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $110,000-115,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
